The magical Blue Lagoon in Huntsville, Texas is one of the most amazing places to swim in the Lone Star state. Texas can get very hot during the summer and there is no better way to cool off than with a visit to this magical crystal blue paradise.
This gem hides behind 30-foot limestone walls and a ton of trees. Because the spot is so hidden, it can be quite relaxing to visit. At the lagoon, you can tan, swim, and even take scuba lessons if you choose to do so. Blue Lagoon is open to the public and if you want to scuba dive, it is only $20.
Although the lagoon does mostly cater to scuba divers, the public is always welcome to swim and take pictures.
The water of hidden spot is so crystal clear, people often refer to it as “satire blue.” Blue Lagoon is closest to Houston but it is still a good distance away so you can forget about the city and pretend you’re in the Bahamas.
The top of the limestone walls are also the perfect place to hang out and have a picnic if you don’t feel like swimming but would like to relax in a beautiful and quiet unique spot.
Thankfully, Blue Lagoon has so many trees that they provide enough shade to keep you out of that hot Texas sun. Just around the corner is a little convenience shop in case you happen to have forgotten any of the summer essentials like drinking water or sunblock.
Blue Lagoon is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a summer hiding place to relax away from the city and have a great swim. You can find the Blue Lagoon at 649 Pinedale Rd, Huntsville, TX 77320.
We strongly advise that before you go swimming or visit any location, you check the most recent updates on potential hazards, security, water quality, and closures. If you do plan to visit a location, respect the environment.
